The outline of Twist's hair is such a delicious blood red.

@thelastgherkin Like what your coat is?
-
@decibel Oh no, much deeper and sweeter. http://ur1.ca/6i680
-
@thelastgherkin It definately is, perhaps crimson?
-
@thelastgherkin Delicious blood-red or delicious-blood red?
-
@scribus That small line seems to be the most influential line I have ever seen
-
@decibel It's called 'strong amaranth', apparently. http://www.perbang.dk/rgb/9D000A/
-
@scribus Both! The colour's resemblance to blood is inexplicably what makes it delicious.
-
@thelastgherkin I would drink a beverage called amaranth.
-
@thelastgherkin Is there something (else) that you've been keeping from us...?
-
@decibel Behold the power of a well-placed hyphen!
-
@scribus I'm not into blood-letting, if that's what you're asking. Sometimes when I'm drawing and a colour is vibrant enough, it kind of unlocks a taste somewhere in my brain. The bloody red of Twist's hair outline specifically reminds me of the taste of a recipe of fake blood my brother always uses when he's making films. It tastes like really warm Golden Syrup, and it's absolutely delicious and sweet and sticky.
-
@thelastgherkin Ah, yes... Fake blood certainly does have a unique flavor. Never had homemade, and the store-bought took some getting used to.
-
@scribus @thelastgherkin I had an recipe for fake blood that actually tasted pretty good, kinda quick and dirty, it was corn syrup, food coloring, and a bit of peanut butter for texture.
-
@colfax I imagine it wasn't chunky peanut butter.
-
@scribus No, creamy peanut butter, but you can use chunky is you want it to look like blood clots.
-
@colfax Ooh, that would work, wouldn't it?
-
@scribus Yeah, it works fine, I know this from experience.
-
@colfax Now I just need a reason to do this. . .
-
@scribus Well, if you're going shopping at the mall for presents...
-
@colfax Wasn't planning on it previously...
-
@scribus But now you're thinking about it, right?
-
@colfax Mmmaaybeee...
-
@scribus Protip, as silly as it sounds, condoms make really good blood bags.
-
@colfax That one I actually knew. I think they were also used for intestines in the original "Last House on the Left." Commentary tracks are fun!
-
@scribus Tom Savini used them all the time, from the 80s on up.
-
@colfax condoms have lots of uses, including its intended purpose, which seems to be overlooked by a lot of colts that I come across, ha
-
@colfax I wonder how that would look on a shopping trip...
-
@elind85 My father used to tell me about he and his friends used to get a box of them and a carton of buttermilk, then they'd fill them with the buttermilk and tie them to the door handles of the cars in the church parking lot on sundays.
-
@scribus Confusing at the very least, I'd think.
-
@colfax Sounds like one reaction face I'd like to see
