  1. On a distracted note: did you know that "unicorn" was likely a mistranslation in the Bible? It supposedly should have read "bicorn" or something similar. Don't have any sources though so feel free to ignore..

    1. @internetmanchild and Alicorn is the substance unicorn horns are made from, not a subspecies.

        1. @seaponiessmoke420skeletonsamuraieveryday It is fortunate that I no longer use my command line client. Fortunate for you, I mean. I would never bother to type that out.

          1. @ceruleanspark :D I intend to keep this nickname until I can think of something adequately cute but not outright feminine.

      2. @ceruleanspark But you have to admit alicorn sounds way better than the ridiculous pegacorn.

        1. @moonprincess Absolutely. The term Alicorn is acutally borrowed from the furry community.

        2. @moonprincess and alicorn ties in nicely with the latin meaning "winged horn" if I'm not mistaken

      2. @derps I do not think ponies have a religion at all. Regardless of where they are from *shrug*

        1. @critialcloudkicker They obviously have a religion. Twilight Sparkle used to write to god once a week.

            1. @critialcloudkicker I live in a monarchy, and I assure you that I have never said "Thank the queen" quite the same way that Applejack says "Thank Celestia". I have also said "As the queen is my witness!"

                        1. @critialcloudkicker You're kind of looking at it from a default Christian perspective. Plenty of religions worship gods in other ways. Who's to say that Celestia's royal treatment isn't the Equestrian religion? ALTERNATE HYPOTHESIS: religion is not practised because she's God and she's sat right there. Like how in Watchmen no-one makes superhero comics any more because superheroes exist.

                  2. @ceruleanspark It is implied by Hearth's Warming Eve that moving the sun (and by extension the moon) is something that can be done with unicorn magic; presumably, it just happened to be Celestia's special talent (hence her cutie mark). Being a winged unicorn besides that seems to have granted her additional power beyond her talent. This is all just my own personal theorizing though.

                    1. @toksyuryel She's an (apparent) immortal with the ability to move celestial bodies around more or less at will. Seems pretty godly to me.

                      1. @ceruleanspark I am sure I'd be a god in the eyes of earthponies 1000 years ago then... I move clouds :/

                    2. @toksyuryel In my theorizing, I think it took like >9000 unicorns that have to cooperate to raise the sun, then Celestia comes along and does it on her own, and all unicorns went OMFG
