@coffeecream Oh, good, they put the start menu back in.

@mrmattimation Not really the start menu. Just that button. I've always liked 8/8.1, I would say they've made 8.1 more flexible with some things, but it might not be the 'fix everything' solution you were hoping for

@coffeecream Oh, I was told that 8.1 put the actual menu back in.

@coffeecream Ok, well is it free? Like, could I pull a Windows 8 computer out of its box, start it up, and go to Microsoft's website and upgrade?

@mrmattimation Yes.

@coffeecream I gotta admit, the idea of partitioning certain areas of your screen to a certain app does appeal to me a bit.

@mrmattimation I do wish there was some third-party tool to launch certain programs like a Metro app. But hey, still a neat thing.

@coffeecream By the way, is upgrading from 8 to 8.1 free/worth it/both?

@coffeecream Looks like a tiling WM %).
-
@xrevan86 sort of, only vertical tiling and only with those "Metro Apps". Still handy to have one to the side like that when I'm doing something else :)
