@clayinthecarpet I spent the first half of the day at work with goons from corporate breathing down our necks the whole time and making everything awful. But I had meatball sandwiches when I got home so the day went pretty well overall

@redenchilada Personally I wouldn't want something like that. If we're going for expensive stuff that nobody needs and people want just for the sake of cool, I'd go for a belt/arm mounted computer with a head mounted display, a camera with night vision on the headpiece, and the controls on the left forearm.

@nerthos Heck, I would go straight for the overkill, and build myself a miniature Mad Dog prototype. And after that a prototype you could ride inside the cockpit. @nerthos Blood Asp ? No way man that thing looks like a crossover between an exploded Annihilator and a Dire Wolf turned inside out, and it lost 10 tons somewhere down the road. If we are going to stay in the same weight category give me a Mad Cat MK2, or a Highlander in case I want to give that thing an appropriate burial. Not to mention that for a whopping 29 and a half million C-bills I can pretty much have 3 Raven light mechs running around ( optional loadout, 1-2 with TAG and 1-2 with AC ) with 2 Catapult's in the background raining LRM like doom upon your slow-like assaulty behind ( or 3 Hunchback LRMboats ) ... most heavy and almost all assault mechs are way too expensive for anyone but Steiner to boot, hence the "4 mech scout lance, all Atlasses" jokes against the Space-Germans of the 21st century and beyond. Clan Star Adder can not even pay the electric fee on planet Marshall

@critialcloudkicker My Banshees were tricked out, Star League heat sinks, top of the line fusion powerplants, all the bells and whistles, and one had a small electrical fault I never bothered fixing, when you fired any weapon theremwas a 1 in 10 chance of them all going off.

@critialcloudkicker I'll be honest and say all my experience with the mech warrior universe comes from Mech Commander 2, game that I copied from someone's HDD when my father was fixing it and loved as a kid. Among the mech selection of that game, the Blood Asp was by far my favourite, even if it was kind of slow and stupidly expensive.

@nerthos Heh, well it was an awesome game :) ... You might want to check up on MW3, MW4, or when you want something really fancy looking ( and not something from either 1997 or 2002 ) try Mechwarrior Online... Although by now the game is already dying and you'd get about as much fun out of it as League of Legends. The blood asp however was technically ( if I remember right ) the best possible mech in the whole of MW2 31st century combat, ghost bears legacy, and possibly mercenaries... Given you had excess funds or somehting

@nerthos http://ur1.ca/g6q7w Funny how things work. I have a 1.5 GHZ single core in my current Samsung S1 plus ( I9001 ) and I was sort of eyeballing this LG Optimus 4X HD ... Which has a 1.5GHz quad core and a lot of awesome features... However... I can not get rid of my current phone so I will wait till my provider kicks me a "assign more time to your contract and get a new phone" kinda deal... My current phone has a busted powerbutton that does not functions 75% of the time... So... it all comes down to what "They" put in the phones to make it work and up to "me" to pick the best one that suits my needs :)

@nerthos My I9001 shows no sign of wear and tear other than the silver lining on the side which is crackled on some sides. The screen is perfectly ohkay. And has survived a vat of oil. Being dumped in boiling water, a 5 story drop, me crashing right on top, some fatass sitting on it, and being shaken so vigorous it would kill a baby... Ironically if any of the above things would have broken my phone, someone else would have had to pay me a new one.
