so apparently, a lot of hardcore zelda fans assume that fairies die when you use them. Even though there's no evidence of this. Then they act like my lack of a position is some sort of claim, which they try to argue. #internet

@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline People do that to me when I enter an MLP conversation and say that I don't like to critique or analyze MLP in particular because it's such a huge happy, joyful experience for me. I simply don't want to pick it apart. Then people will get all butthurt and try to make you "see the light" or something. Not even once.

@clayinthecarpet I've never been able to just enjoy something, so I envy you. In that regard, I've never been able to "see the light" of NOT analyzing something. If I'm not critically thinking about something, then I'm either sleeping, or doing that thing grownups do when kids arent supposed to be looking.

@clayinthecarpet think of it this way: it's not like people who enjoy critical thinking are purposely trying to ruin anything anyone else enjoys. They just bring new perspectives by trying to strip down as many biases and personal interpretations as possible. (and if their analysis is a personal interpretation, they're doing it wrong)

@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline That's not to say that I don't HAVE qualms with the show and that I don't NOTICE its flaws...I just don't care to pick it apart. It's a kids' show and it is what it is. I just feel lucky to be involved with something so incredibly life-changingly wonderful as the show and this fandom. I pick the hell out of fanfics and other TV shows all the time, but I can't do that to Pony because that's not my passion. That does not run parallel to my passions for the show. The show is an escape from all the criticism and frustrations and negativity. I just don't like to argue about it. And those people who are all like, "Everything has SUCKED since season 2! I don't watch this anymore! RAGEQUIT!" make me kinda mad...I prefer to avoid them as a whole.

@clayinthecarpet yeah.... I hope I don't meet anyone foolish enough to claim everything sucked since season 2. Also agree with everything else you said, because there's a difference between analyzing the intent/form of art, and the negative nancies needlessly nitpicking night after night
