@rancidrob I remember my friend managed to get banned from driving over the way he drove a tractor (At 16 years old too)

By the Sky these kids are absolutely stupid.
-
@rancidrob customers in the garage.
-
@vt3c no, i'm not touching this one. Not my kind of work.
-
@vt3c good; i can lose my house AND my job. That'd be swell.
-
@vt3c no, i am. I said no more snarky remarks.
-
@rancidrob "kids" also because at least a decade younger than myself and/or childish altogether. Maybe i throw the term "kid" too often.
-
@rancidrob when a large portion of population are kids and larger still childish there really isn't much a way around that. (Shouldn't talk; i had a car when 13 years old and am obviously childish)
-
@rancidrob "Children" meaning people 16 and over, 17 in some states. They're allowed to drive because they aren't children anymore. It's not as if as soon as they turn 16, they get handed a driver's license and a car and told "here, do whatever you want!" They have to go through testing like every other adult.
-
@snowcone yes, this and "buddy" are my favourites when it comes to english.
-
@snowcone Adults are just as big of idiots as teenagers are when it comes to driving. Take it from someone who lives next to a big intersection and sees more car accidents involving adults than I do involving kids.
-
@mrmattimation oh this is without doubt. Hell in some cases it seems the longer you've been driving the worse you become because you think you're habits are the right way whilst they aren't a cording to road laws.
-
@snowcone truth be told this language has so many fantastic words, and more fantastic synonyms for said words.
-
@rancidrob You don't suddenly gain driving ability when you turn 18. That's WHY the driving age is 16. So that you can build upon it gradually during a period where you're at a learning peak, rather than being thrown into the driving world knowing nothing. As a teenager who has taken, and failed, the permit test, I can say that I am glad that this system is the way it is.
-
@snowcone the thing is, they're pioneering as to how American English will be spoken in the future. This is language evolution.
-
@snowcone doubleplusgood.
