@nerthos I don't doubt it, it's pretty entertaining. I just like the X series more. To me, few games were, are, or will be as well-rounded as Megaman X.

It was programmed to be undodgeable on hard mode but there are ways to handle it.
You receive a "P" for pass. You can't win chess against somebody who does not know how to play. -

@nerthos The PSX version is better as far as visuals and controls. If you get Pete's OpenGL2 plugin you can apply all sorts of filters and make it look fantastic.

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix in English at ten times the internal resolution looks like the recent remakes they did. -
@soren PS2 emulators hate me. I can't get it to grapesing run properly even though I'm told it should run just fine on my setup.

@soren PS1 games don't scale well at all though. You still have to deal with the console's bad rendering distorting small graphics and generally warping everything, which is easily noticed at anything above native res.

@mrmattimation What specs do you have? Processor is far more important than graphics card in emulation.

@vt3c Final Fantasy 12 as well as Shadow of the Colossus pushed the PS2 hardware pretty hard. They look absolutely amazing emulated.

@soren Shadow of the Colossus is still one of the most gorgeous games I've ever played, not even just in terms of graphics but also just in the way it was designed and presented

@soren AMD A6-5200 Quad-Core clocked at 2.0GHz, 8GB RAM, it's an APU but I believe the GPU it's graphics are based on is a Radeon HD 8XXX series, dunno the exact number right now. Dedicated VRAM is 512MB.

@soren I'm curious how that looks in motion, now that you've shown it... jitter's hard to judge from still screens.

@mrmattimation APU cards actually emulate it fine- but your processor probably isn't good enough. It coughed during emulation on an A8 which is what I previously had. You can probably run easy games like Final Fantasty X or Kingdom Hearts 1, but you aren't running Final Fantasy 12 or Shadow of the Colossus.

@vt3c The problem with the APUs is that they have two processing cores and two visual cores when you really need all processing cores to emulate properly.
APUs are actually decent gaming processors because of the visual cores even when you have a card in but they don't do nearly as well for emulation. -
@nerthos What? There are no frames. Frames were obsoleted in, like, 2005 or whenever decent CSS layouts became popular.

@soren That's super lame. My PC is all fine and dandy when I'm playing games from as recently as a few months ago, but it stutters like no tomorrow on KH

@mrmattimation Honestly, part of that is because PS2 emulation is pretty poor. It's like that for all consoles past fourth-gen, honestly (except that PS1 emulation is pretty good... well, and N64 is acceptable).
