@mrmattimation I wasn't even aware that there was a even a Windows 9, is it like word war 5, it skips over the other two?

@ninjaperson Internal technical coder-person reasons required them to skip 9 to avoid third-party programs from confusing it with Windows 95 and 98.

@ninjaperson It's not Microsoft's fault really, if they went with the name "Windows 9" then a lot of programs would have assumed it was a really old OS and just straight-up not worked.

@ninjaperson Not really. If said explanation is true, simply changing the name saves them millions in technical support.
