@theanneh Sure, why not.
-
@northernnarwhal Yay! <3
-
@northernnarwhal Forgive any typos. I had 2 nights to edit the whole demo. ;;
-
@theanneh Oh, you're part of the team? That's pretty cool actually.
-
@northernnarwhal Yup! :D Randomly met the programmer one day and he needed an editor. Total coincidence. I'm also going to be writing a lot of the bad ends because I want to hurt people. :D
-
@theanneh You remind me of a friend of mine who has a very grotesque style of writing :0 We're in a creative writing course and her first assignment involved burning down her main character's house and family.
-
@theanneh starting the demo now
-
@northernnarwhal Nice. My last writing assignment for English was arguing that Star Trek: The Original Series was superior to the new adaptations.
But that's a whole other thing. ;3
Your friend sounds like someone I would like lol. -
@theanneh (I personally hold The Next Generation as my favourite Star Trek series)
Scribus likes this. -
@northernnarwhal Don't flay me, but I've only watched the entirety of TOS. I was only comparing the movies to TOS because they were adaptations of it.
My mom really loved Next Generation and I want to watch it... but then I just keep watching TOS. >_> -
@theanneh TOS is very fantastic, and if you're comparing it strictly to the film counterparts I can understand your point of view (Though as far as films go The Wrath of Khan holds a special place in my heart)
-
@northernnarwhal If only Cumberbach could have been Khan in TOS... He looked so dumb originally.
-
@theanneh I personally like Ricardo Montalban's portrayal of the character, but Cumberbatch did a good job of making him his own. Probably my favourite part of Into Darkness, which I was so-so on overall.
-
@northernnarwhal I feel the same way. I was fine with him until Cumberbatch played him. Now it's just not the same. xD
And Into Darkness was alright... And I'd still bananas new Spock so I guess it's all cool. ;3
I did have to ask my prof to wave the maximum number of pages for my paper, though. XD Nerd ranting. -
@northernnarwhal So I see there's a word filter...
-
@theanneh Oh yeah, fruit filter. Basically swears become random fruit names.
-
@theanneh If you say bananas, sometimes, it turns into Murdock.
-
@northernnarwhal It was a sex word. I would have sex with either version of Spock. I am not ashamed.
Narwhal likes this. -
@metaltao Oh my. xD
-
@theanneh I will rupert murdock you!
theanneh likes this. -
@theanneh Into Darkness wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. It was well paced and all the actors portrayed their respective characters well. Though the story itself touched on some strong themes I felt sometimes events were either to convenient for their own good or the film spent too much time playing on nostalgia than really establishing itself. Still, as a whole I did enjoy it and it did entertain me, so there's that.
-
@theanneh Would you have a 3 way with both of them?
-
@northernnarwhal Oh, I've watched it like 3 times. It just needs to be viewed out of context from TOS. Then it's much more enjoyable. c: I feel like they had a lot of fanfare, with characters just "there" to appease trekkies. It just wasn't in the spirit of the original... And imho it just fits better into a tv show than into a movie.
-
@northernnarwhal Yes.
-
@theanneh Yeah, I guess since I went into the film already a fan of Star Trek I had those expectations and that context come to me subconsciously. I think the series has generally been better suited to television than movies because of its ensemble cast and vast setting.
-
@northernnarwhal Yup. That was pretty big chunk of my paper. xD
-
@theanneh By the way, I've been playing this demo while we've been talking and it's pretty good. The art is great and I'm not that much a fan of ponies these days.
-
@northernnarwhal Oh, I'm glad! :D Pukey is an amazing artist. I fell in love with the project because of her art. x3
-
@theanneh Yeah, the characters are all very stylized and fit the aesthetic of their personalities.
-
@northernnarwhal I hope that it can come across in the writing as well. :D
Unfortunately, I have to go. Sex and all that. I'll be on later. c: -
@theanneh Cheers
-
@theanneh "unfortunately..." "...sex"...Sex is never unfortunate unless it is without consent.
-
@clayinthecarpet I dunno, when I'm involved it's always pretty unfortunate.
-
@ceruleanspark Believe in yourselffffffff!
-
@ceruleanspark Be good, Be good to your self!
-
@ceruleanspark You just gotta know where and how to touch somebody. Oh man, that gets so fun SO fast.
-
@clayinthecarpet This is getting inappropriate for the public timeline I think.
-
@ceruleanspark I ain't said anything inappropro! I'll quit, though.
-
@clayinthecarpet It was good sex. C: I was just enjoying the convo is all.
-
@theanneh Hello again! XD HAHAH!
-
@metaltao Hello! Cx
-
@theanneh You did the sex? Was it C?
-
@theanneh Quite the combo breaker, devoid of context.
-
@theanneh It's boggling to think there could be people on here when they could be having sex
-
@metaltao C?
-
@theanneh Sex C!
-
@metaltao It was very much so. ;3
-
@northernnarwhal He got home so I logged out. ;D
-
@theanneh Oooh, sneaky. I like it.
-
@theanneh Biologically speaking, you won at life. Biologically.
-
@metaltao How so?
-
@theanneh Well, from a biologists perspective, Sex is what the entire goal of life is. TO spread the Genetic information. But, remind you, that is purely a Biological view of it.
-
@metaltao In reality, that's half of it. The other half is to evolve by doing so.
-
@nerthos AH, thank you!
-
@metaltao Yeah but I'm not gonna have kids. Pregnancy and children are horrifying. Soooo just for the fun of it.~ Not winning at life.
-
@theanneh I like your mentality.
-
@theanneh OH! WEll, *skims brain* Psychology? Sociology? Philosophy?????
-
@nerthos We did play DnD after, so is that winning?
-
@theanneh In many, many levels.
-
@metaltao Why not all?
-
@theanneh *brain freezes* Mother of Sweet Celestia... YOU WON EVERYTHING! \o/
-
@metaltao How many points does she recieve?
-
@nerthos 52!
-
@metaltao We did win the encounter, too. :D
Also I love how this thread went from "Please play this visual novel I worked on" to Star Trek to sex and then to DnD. xD -
@theanneh AGreed, and, hae it all without someone calling the other a "SEX DEMON!" or some crazy bananas XD
-
@theanneh AGreed, and, hae it all without someone calling the other a "SEX DEMON!" or some crazy papayas XD
-
@metaltao Sex demons? I like the sound of that.
-
@metaltao I've been called a Sex Demon before
-
@theanneh *snorts milk* OW GOD DAMN IT! AHAHAH! I guess it does. Sounds... Warm... XD
-
@meloetta O3o
-
@metaltao @metaltao I have i on good authority that sex demons are a good thing. I graduated top of my class at /d/ university.
RDN's Lucifer likes this. -
@metaltao Or was it Savior of the bed
-
@theanneh sex demons are always a good thing, yes.
theanneh likes this. -
@meloetta I like that one.
-
@theanneh I think I have been considered both.
-
@meloetta All the better, then!
-
@theanneh I am known for being the best.
-
@meloetta I'm certainly not, so I guess someone has to be.
-
@theanneh My voice is all I need to bring all the girls to me
-
@meloetta Not only the girls ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
@coutz Sorry all guys get friendzoned.
-
@meloetta I just use my perky nipples.
RDN's Lucifer and Narwhal like this. -
@meloetta It's okay, I'm used to it.
-
@theanneh That's cheating.
-
@meloetta No it's just poly-- Oh that's not what you meant.
-
@theanneh /d/, the birthplace of so many hilarious things.
-
@nerthos Like Bronies!
-
@metaltao /d/ most certainly did not give birth to Bronies.
-
@theyurityphoon OH! Sorry! I forgot! /b and /d/ are different! grapes! SORRY!
-
@metaltao pretty sure /b/ didn't do that either
-
@metaltao Whilst I don't doubt at some point /d/ had threads about centaurs and giving birth and even giving birth to horses, you're confusing it with /b/
-
@nerthos Yes, I was... Sorry...
-
@nerthos I had someone IRL recognize me on /d/. They greentexted me
>Annie?
I was like, "apples."
We've been dating for almost a year now. -
@nerthos No, it just has threads of centaurs impregnating women. It's a different beast entirely.
Pun intended. -
@theanneh Well, that's most certainly a weird way to start. At the very least though, it ensures it'll be a fun relationship.
-
@theanneh I saw that too once or twice. Weird stuff.
