OK, no, but really. "All About That Bass" is literally and objectively the worst thing that has ever been called a song.
-
@scribus Don't make treble now.

@soren The only way it could be worse is if DragonForce covered it.

@scribus This implies that "Who Let The Dogs Out?" doesn't exist.

@northernnarwhal No. No, "Who Let The Dogs Out" is less bad.
-
@scribus Even if I hypothetically agreed with you, your previous statement also does not account for ICP or Limp Bizkit.

@northernnarwhal Nobody capable of the epic arc of concept albums ICP has turned out can be all bad, and Limp Bizkit have a good name to lul at.
-
@scribus Eh, I think for me I just consider "All About That Bass" to be typical overproduced flavour of the week bubblegum pop designed to be catchy and disposable. So it's really nothing new to the industry, and it'll only be just as "bad" as the next big hit.
-
@northernnarwhal Unpopular opinion: I like it?

@thelastgherkin That's fine, I mean it's meant to be easy to like and there's nothing wrong with that. I myself enjoy a lot of pop music, so I understand where you're coming from.

@mastertdi what.
Tuesday, 23-Dec-14 21:29:27 UTC from web -
@scribus Still better than any dubstep. It doesn't say a lot.

@broniebrown Depends on how you define dubstep musically.
Tuesday, 23-Dec-14 21:30:35 UTC from web-
@northernnarwhal dubstep < broken machine noises < any form of sound and music
Tuesday, 23-Dec-14 21:31:55 UTC from Choqok-
@broniebrown No, you're misreading me. The thing about "dubstep" is that in terms of popular EDM it's often used in reference to "brostep", which is more of an aggressive derivative that has become incredibly formulaic. I've explained the major differences in the past here http://rainbowdash.net/notice/3367582
