How would you word "I feel like there's only one person who really understands" in a script in a way that doesn't sound like you're making moody Shadow the Hedgehog fanfiction

@mrmattimation I can probably help you with that if you give me context

@nerthos A depressed character is reveiving therapy. The therapist asks them about their friends, to which the patient responds "There are only four people in this world who I would call my friends. Even then, only one of those four really gets me."

@mrmattimation I'd go with "Through my life, I've only met four people who have shown to be true friends. Even then, of the four I feel like only one of them really shares enough with me to get me"

@nerthos @mrmattimation Of course if it were aimed at a specific person I'd likely be able to word it in a way that would sound truly genuine for that person, but it's harder if you don't know who you're speaking to.
