You can't even tell the difference after 2K anyway so what's the point. 720p is more than enough. Even 480p is pretty acceptable.

@tiffany For the longest time I'd play Xbox games in standard definition because it literally makes zero difference to me. The only reason I switched to 1080i is because I got a new TV and it came with an HDMI cable.

@mrmattimation There is nothing wrong with any resolution in my book. However when your old man decides to jump the 4K-fence and you start to notice the imput lag on this new 4K TV. That is where the problems start in my book. Upscaling imput signals takes time.

@mrmattimation That is like saying that the eye can not see beyond 24 frames per second. Do you have any idea how weird life would look in only 24 frames per second ? Ahwell, that is besides the point. My point is ( and was ) that if you are going to sell a product as 4K it better be 4K, and not some marketing mumbo jumbo to make it sell better...
