If there's one thing interesting about the reaction to that drawing, it's the dangers of deeply identifying with your media, because then any attack on that media becomes an attack on you and you get a really warped sense of agency.

@mrmattimation That reminds me of recent thing that happened. A brony reviewer made a video which had "Rainbow Dash sucks so much" in the title. He got so many dislikes and banana on, it was hilarious to see people's reaction.

@rarity Yup, another reason why even if I was still a fan of MLP I wouldn't use the label "brony", because it's not based on any actual engagement with media and is just a means of letting your choice in media become your identity.
