@tiffany Your hardware might just be incompatible with Windows 10. If you can I'd just boot into your UEFI and downgrade back to Windows 8.

@mrmattimation sounds good to me honestly. I don't think win10 has actually had any active benefits for me unless I'm forgetting something

@tiffany Basically, if your laptop came with Windows 8, from the UEFI screen (which you can get to by holding shift while you restart your PC), you should be able to do a factory reset which erases your hard drive and reinstalls Windows 8.

@mrmattimation I was considering a factory reset anyway, though not to get rid of Windows 10 but to see if it would help it integrate better or something

@tiffany In that case I think a Refresh would be better. It uninstalls all your programs but keeps your files and Windows 10.
