I have to say that Metal's determination to defend a point he believes in with actual arguments instead of attacks and the usual "no this is the only right way of seeing it and if you don't you're an awful bigot11!!one!" is worthy of praise.

@skellythos Yeah, at that point I just didn't feel like engaging any more and just cut myself off since I couldn't get my point across. These days I just respond with silly gifs, because I've realized I'm better than such trite discourse.

@northernnarwhal IMO the issue was that you took things way too seriously, seeing opposing arguments as hostile or as if people were trying to deny your view completely, when it wasn't the case. Most of the time people weren't taking it as a big issue and were surprised you did. That time is the best example I can think of. No one will argue with you over memes of all things in a serious manner. There was a clear joke air to it which I think you didn't notice.
