If you were at my stream today, you heard my actual reactions to Undertale live, and the verdict is... It's nothing special?? The writing is clever at times and the battle system is alright, but other than that it's kind of ordinary. You have three options, pacifism, neutrality, or outright murder, but it seems to me like only one of them is actually interesting. Besides that, if you stray even slightly from either pacifism or genocide, you're automatically shunted into neutral route, which from that point on renders the game exactly the same no matter what you do differently with each run. It's not a bad game by any means. But it's also not great. It's just okay.

@mrmattimation If you're interested, I think my essay on it does a good job articulating why I personally enjoy it so much.
