In any case, I think the fact that the government of a country which has NATO nukes stationed in it is being overthrown is a very very very dangerous scenario.

@mrmattimation You're not wrong. We all know that Erdogan is a appleing Fluffle Puff. This new lot doesn't seem to be any better. Probably a fortuitous Understatement

@mrmattimation Turkey doesn't belong in NATO with that monster dictator in power anyway.

@rarity Right, but I'm thinking about the fact that a country with nukes within their borders is being taken over by a military faction, that's a very very very very very bad thing no matter how you look at it.

@mrmattimation the people taking over the nukes are teh same people who were in charge of them before the coup presumably. If we could trust these workers with NATO missles before the coup I would think they would be responsible now.

@rarity I'm just slightly skeptical of a group of people barging in with guns and saying "this country is gonna be ruled by a peace council uwu". We have no idea what their actual intentions are, what they say doesn't matter once bit.

@mrmattimation What I find extremely amusing that words like "a country with nukes within their borders is being taken over by a military faction" come from someone who lives inside a country that invented terms like "Military-Industrial Complex". But hey, that is like asking me if I trust Dwight D Eisenhower more than the people whom are in charge of NATO nuclear payloads in Turkey right now.
... Kinda what @Rarity just said actually.Saturday, 16-Jul-16 00:18:22 UTC from web
