@scriba time is just a perception-level measurement of the subatomic universe's "motion," for a lack of better terms coming to me this early in the morning. To freeze time would be to freeze existence itself, since each second is just a snapshot of where all mass is at that point.

@scriba if you were to time travel, you'd be disassembling then reassembling the universe each "jump" per se. The amount of energy it would require to put each subatmoic particle in the proper place (or reconstruct it if it were destroyed via fission) would be inconceivable, and to have the knowledge of even timepoint's specific unique arrangement of particles would be, to say the least unrealistic. Especially since our technology can influence at best only a small percentage of the universe (research known universe vs unknown universe)

@scriba time travel as depicted in most stories are silly at a layman's level of scientific understanding anyway, because of two or three logic experiments which suggest possible issues with any technology behind it (example, any time travel that works like in the movies would have the capability of creating infinite mass and potentially undo the known universe since infinite mass = infinite infinite energy = infinite probability)
