  1. @scriba if you were to time travel, you'd be disassembling then reassembling the universe each "jump" per se. The amount of energy it would require to put each subatmoic particle in the proper place (or reconstruct it if it were destroyed via fission) would be inconceivable, and to have the knowledge of even timepoint's specific unique arrangement of particles would be, to say the least unrealistic. Especially since our technology can influence at best only a small percentage of the universe (research known universe vs unknown universe)
