@toksyuryel Yeah I was looking for you in my list (to avoid mispelling your name) to rant about how the one time I went out of my way to be nice and optimistic about the community, the journalist framed my commentary to be negative.

@toksyuryel Here's what I actually said, for the record: "I don't think anyone would disagree with the assertion that the days of the fandoms explosive growth are over. We're into the "long tail" now. The fandom is very dependant on the show for new material, so the lull between seasons will inevitably cause a drop in fandom output and a corresponding drop in new members. I'm fairly sure things will pick up as the Season 3 hype-train starts rolling. I remember in the gap between season 1 and 2, RDN had about 5 active members, and I personally knew 3 of them in real life. We're actually in a much better shape right now than we were then." As you can see, the words are the same, but absent their framing text, I am optimistic, rather than doom and gloom.

@ceruleanspark *nod~* I expected better from the daily dot, in the past their articles have been a lot more well-written and researched.

@toksyuryel Yeah. Her previous articles are all pretty good, and she does actually interact with the fandom on a daily basis. She even has an OC and calls herself a brony, so quite what happened with this one, I don't know.

@ceruleanspark I just looked through her posts again and saw that she described this piece as being "more neutral". I'm not quite sure by who's standards this qualified as neutral...
