@abigpony because when I read their review I felt like I was reading a Phantom Menace review written by a Star Wars diehard. It's like how when that movie first came out you had a bunch of fans who watched it but couldn't even realize they just watched the worst movie ever made until a few years after. Some folks realize right away, but the other thing was that I was expecting Eqd to be as honest with this as they were with the premiere. I'm not sure why I was expecting any level of journalistic integrity, but there ya go. I've said more than I meant to and I took some preparation H for all the butthurt so I should be good now.

@crusader8 Diehard star wars fans hated Ep. 1 more than anyone else. Just reading it now it doesn't seem like they're fawning over it or anything. They seem to like it, but they aren't particualrly praising it really highly like you say. now get that fire ant-covered stick out of your butt.

That's why I compared it to Phantom Menace jokingly, since back when that came out lots of peeps were like "zomg it was awesome. Why? Well cuz it had c3p0, R2D2, anakin, obi-wan.., and Darth Maul was really cool!" But I only reply because seeing something obviously flawed get completely ignored in its review does not make me the worst person on the internet, and even if your strawman was somehow my actual position it would still be a far cry from making me the worst person on the internet.

@crusader8 But it's exactly what you're saying. You're saying they have no journalistic integrity because they didn't point out some flaw you found in the episode. I'm not saying the episode was great, but your expectation that reviewers share your opinion is just unreasonable.

@juicyorange Yup, it's the best way to watch movies. I really liked the Pierce Brosnan Bond films, but from what I've heard, this one is great.
