  1. In general, 68 percent of people believe aliens exist. But among those who use their middle finger to scroll when using a mouse with a scroll wheel, only 52 percent believe aliens exist. (via Correlated) http://www.correlated.org

    1. @scribus How does one scroll a mouse wheel with a finger other than the middle finger

      1. @redenchilada very carefully.

      2. @redenchilada Index finger? Or, some silly/fancy/ergonomic mice have, I think, the scrollwheel for the thumb?

        1. @scribus That's wrong. You're supposed to use your index finger for the left button, middle finger on the mouse wheel, ring finger on the right button, and thumb and pinkie for the fourth and fifth buttons (everyone has a five-button mouse, right? ...Right?)

          2. @redenchilada Not everybody has that much available real estate on their mouse, little man. Some of us have masculine proportions and can't fit three fingers in such tight proximity.

            2. @scribus I've got decently big fingers and mine all fit on the mouse with plenty of room to spare. :< I really hope people aren't using those tiny mice. Those things aren't usable in day-to-day computing.

              1. @redenchilada Yeah, I actually am suffering through using a portable mouse, and it's driving me nuts, but I can't really justify spending the money on a new one right now. :C Also, it's wireless, and it keeps derping out on me.

                1. @scribus my wireless mouse never derps on me. Unless its battery dies. In which case it just turns off without warning.

                  1. @techdisk I keep thinking that's the most likely culprit, but a fresh battery later and it's still derping like derp.

                2. @scribus Good heavens, wireless too? I feel for you, man.

                  1. @redenchilada Maybe I'll just throw it at the wall and go 100% command line.
