@yodelerty Third gen was my favorite. It felt so adventurous compared to what I'd played up to that point. Now it's a toss-up between 3 and 5.

@widget Fire Red/Leaf Green was gen 3, but no gen 3 pokemon came until after you beat the game/traded from gen 3 games.

@widget FR/LG were the remakes. They're technically G3 but the originals were G1.

@zeldatra Yes it is u get gen 3 and 4 after u get the national pokedex I may of not liked it because it was not as nostalgic to me but that's my opinion

@pokestrike I dont think you get how Pokemon generations work.

@pokestrike It doesn't become gen 4 when you get the national dex, you can trade in pokemon from gen 3 and 4 before you get the national dex, their numbers are just not numbered, because you don't own the pokedex, (ex Togikiss)
