The animation in children's cartoons today (including MLP) annoy me to no end. With the advent of Flash animation, every thing is being done with cheap motion tweening.

@zeldatra Which is why me and the various animators I associate with laugh to ourselves when people talk about "Show quality animation" as if it's the pinnacle of the art

@ceruleanspark I honestly don't get why people say the animation in MLP is "amazing", because frankly, it isn't.

@zeldatra I think it's because most of the people who say that haven't watched cartoons since they were about 10 years old, during that period where farming it out to far eastern slave factories was still cheaper than using a comptuer.

@zeldatra It's appealing and that's enough for me. When compared to the myriad of shows with literally gross animation, it comes out as amazing.

@zeldatra I think its amazing in comparison to other modern flash cartoons. Look at things like, idk, Mucha Lucha, and FIM is far more impressive and expressive.
