    2. @redenchilada We're just gonna start PMing them to each other, and then next we're stealing cars and committing acts of terrorism.

      1. Aaaand we're arguing about "piracy is ethical if X/piracy is totally not okay" again.

        1. @redenchilada No better time for you to come back.

          1. @adorablescootalooomg I get tired of being one of the guys who has to watch the timeline all the time sometimes.

        3. @redenchilada Is it against the rules to imply I'm willing to PM people the link? I have a whole joke set up but I don't want it to get me in trouble.

          1. The problem with so many arguments on here is they turn into one person badgering the other about little details that are somehow supposed to disprove the argument vs. someone who doesn't put a lot of thought into their argument.

      2. @zeldatra so when I get a pc, ill take pics of them and download them from a usb drive. Ill draw them on the computer, fix any bumps and bruises, and voila, the basic sketches for the ch st acyers.

        1. @awesam15 piracy is THE SAME AS ROBBERY. no difference. If it doesnt come out where u live, wait to buy the dvd. Crime isnt something to result to for something like a mlp movie.

          1. @awesam15 well technically piracy is more like burglery, whereas robbery involves a threat of violence to enforce the demand of goods.

            1. @superstellarspeedsterpublicscootertimeline k. Its like burgalry

    3. @redenchilada hmm. For some reason it didn't occur to me when I saw the dashes. I feel bad now.

    4. @dewnor I point this out because I have been both robbed and burgled.

      1. @superstellarspeedsterpublicscootertimeline Look at the entire brony cultre. From this site to the cons. none of that would have happened without some level of copyright infringement.

Monday, 24-Jun-13 22:38:59 UTC from web
        1. @vcgriffin I doubt the Brony culture benefits society.

Monday, 24-Jun-13 22:39:47 UTC from web
          1. @zeldatra I think it does, in small but important ways. We're part of a bigger trend towards re-examining gender stereotypes that constrain our capitalist society

Monday, 24-Jun-13 22:41:36 UTC from web
          2. @zeldatra but it *IS* society. Brony culture has allowed people from all over the world to participate, share (pirate, steal, whatever) and create. It has given people purpose and hope and friends. Culture and society is something that happens away from payment and corporations, it happens in the dark, its weird and odd but its ultimately beneficial. @superstellarspeedsterpublicscootertimeline

            1. I have a feeling I'm looking like the bad guy here so I'll "stahp," as it were.

              1. @superstellarspeedsterpublicscootertimeline You're not even the 'bad guy' really. Just the least popular opinion.

Monday, 24-Jun-13 22:52:49 UTC from web
                1. @adorablescootalooomg what is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right.

                  1. @superstellarspeedsterpublicscootertimeline Personally, my opinion isn't the same as yours, but I don't consider you a bad guy because we don't believe the same thing.

                    1. @adorablescootalooomg I feel like I'm a generation too old for the fandoms I'm a part of. This debate is the EXACT debate I heard constantly years ago in the anime community. I've heard all the arguments on both sides, and for some weird reason I didn't think it would surface in this fandom. I'm either really naive or just old

                      1. @superstellarspeedsterpublicscootertimeline Eh. It always tends to pop up when movies come out, regardless of the community.

        2. @vcgriffin I disagree. Also, that is itself a claim and not something to support your original claim. Though, now I think about it I think it's just a rephrasing of the original claim
