The problem with so many arguments on here is they turn into one person badgering the other about little details that are somehow supposed to disprove the argument vs. someone who doesn't put a lot of thought into their argument.

@awesam15 well technically piracy is more like burglery, whereas robbery involves a threat of violence to enforce the demand of goods.

@zeldatra but it *IS* society. Brony culture has allowed people from all over the world to participate, share (pirate, steal, whatever) and create. It has given people purpose and hope and friends. Culture and society is something that happens away from payment and corporations, it happens in the dark, its weird and odd but its ultimately beneficial. @superstellarspeedsterpublicscootertimeline

@adorablescootalooomg I feel like I'm a generation too old for the fandoms I'm a part of. This debate is the EXACT debate I heard constantly years ago in the anime community. I've heard all the arguments on both sides, and for some weird reason I didn't think it would surface in this fandom. I'm either really naive or just old
