    10. @pegasusjones Reminds me of every time I decide to play Morrowind or Oblivion. Toss in all mods that seem interesting, game stops working, I spend days resinstalling and testing and fixing until it works. Then I play it for a couple days and then I kind of just stop. It's pretty fun.

      1. @flaxx i'm trying to play oblivion, either that game is really hard or a suck that that

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:29:24 UTC from web
        1. @mushi You're probably just not used to it. Or you have the difficulty slider all the way to the right which means enemies take you down in a few hits and you have to hit them about a hundred times before they're dead. Or probably more. What kind of character are you playing and what are you trying to do that gets you killed?

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:31:38 UTC from web
          1. @flaxx i'm trying am acrobat. I'm having a lot of problems to kill Imps, painted trolls and A certain armored orc in a cave

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:32:38 UTC from web
            1. @mushi Trolls are in general really tough enemies. They're fast, hit hard and regenerate health. I'm guessing you're doing the quest with the magic paintbrush? If so, you should have gotten or found (can't quite remember where you get them) some poison that you can apply to your weapon which lets you kill them far easier. Not sure about the orc, it's possible he just happens to be a tough enemy with nice equipment. Might have to go and level a bit before you try to take him down. And also find some nice gear.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:34:48 UTC from web
              1. @flaxx yeah, the paiter gives us a poison deals bigger damages in trolls, but that is not enough, i cant even scape from their hits because their arms are too long and i dont have dosge yet

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:36:33 UTC from web
                1. @mushi Hm. What gear do you have? And what level are you? Also, it's not uncommon to have to chug potions in tougher fights on that game. Try to always have some with you, it usually helps a lot. Going with daggers and light armour can be pretty difficult, at least until you have high sneak skill and nice poisons to use. A bow is probably better for taking down trolls and such.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:40:29 UTC from web
                  1. @flaxx yeah, i'm still in the very begining of the game, i'm at lvl 3, and i dont remember my equipment, but they were not good at all, there is not much stuff i can buy in cheydinhall

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:42:21 UTC from web
                    1. @mushi There's an inn across the river from the dungeon with a single guard outside of it and no one else around. Kill him and loot his stuff.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:43:24 UTC from web
                      1. @zeldatra no D=, i dont want to be the bad guy, besides, i dotn want a heavy character

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:44:49 UTC from web
                    2. @mushi Better stuff will become available after you level up. I'd advice you to go dungeon diving, just run out into the forest and jump down every hole you find, kill everything, loot every thing. Rinse and repeat. Will gain you some levels pretty quickly.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:46:03 UTC from web
                      1. @flaxx yes, i've been doing that, but i thought getting some quests from a city would help

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:46:50 UTC from web
                        1. @mushi Have you tried doing some Fighter's Guild quests? Might help. Some quests are pretty difficult, though.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:50:10 UTC from web
                          1. @flaxx i did one already, they told me to go to another town to get more quests, but i havent played since them

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:50:45 UTC from web
                            1. @mushi Then play! Kill things! Find other things! Beat the things with the things you find!

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:52:45 UTC from web
                              1. @flaxx sounds simple

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:53:21 UTC from web
                                1. @mushi It is, once you get into it.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:00:10 UTC from web
                      2. @flaxx @mushi Particularly marauder dungeons, they'll give a fair bit of gold in loot.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:52:22 UTC from web
                        1. @nerthos i remember i went to a dungeon that gave me some good gold

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:54:16 UTC from web
                          1. @mushi I'd tell you to kill Umbra for the sword but if you're having trouble with the painted trolls fighting probably the toughest level 50 enemy in the game might not be a good idea.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:56:07 UTC from web
                            1. @nerthos yeah... you know where i can get a good dadger or shortsword?

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:56:38 UTC from web
                              1. @mushi Dungeon loot primarily.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:57:10 UTC from web
                                1. @flamingpandaomg it is not working, i only get the same ones

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:57:30 UTC from web
                                  1. @mushi That's literally the only real good way to get weapons and armor. You can't make stuff since it's not Skyrim, and shops are a rip-off and don't sell decent weapons. You do have to get a decent level first because right now your weapon tier will be low for loot.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:58:42 UTC from web
                                    1. @flamingpandaomg Shops have shop-exclusive "unique" items though

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:00:02 UTC from web
                                    2. @flamingpandaomg ell, maybe i only need to go to better dungeons

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:00:03 UTC from web
                                      1. @mushi Dungeons are leveled. All is leveled in Oblivion really.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:00:32 UTC from web
                                        1. @nerthos yeah, but that way i can get better equips

                                            1. @nerthos damage 24? wow my dadger's is only 2

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:03:22 UTC from web
                                              1. @mushi There's a leveled list. At your level it'll do 11 damage. Also while you're in the crypt where you fight the guy who wields that shortsword, check the room for an unique mace.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:04:33 UTC from web
                                                1. @nerthos ah, 11 is already really good too

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:05:16 UTC from web
                                            2. @nerthos ah, 6000 gold xD

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:03:43 UTC from web
                              2. @mushi There's one you get from that merchant's quest about the really low prices. It won't be the best iteration of the dagger due to your level but even considering that it'll be a good weapon.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:58:10 UTC from web
                                1. @nerthos i will check that when i play again

Friday, 12-Jul-13 22:00:20 UTC from web
                    3. @mushi The easy way to kill tough enemies at the start is to get a bow and magical arrows. Sneak-shoot enemies and they'll probably die in one hit.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:55:04 UTC from web
                      1. @nerthos i'm trying to make a meeler this time

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:55:42 UTC from web
                        1. @mushi Always have a backup weapon.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:56:52 UTC from web
                          1. @nerthos yeah, that could work too

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:57:08 UTC from web
            2. @mushi If you're going ranged with a bow you have to rely on starting any fight with a sneak attack since they deal extra damage. After that you just have to kite them around and shoot them till they drop.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:37:16 UTC from web
              1. @flamingpandaomg i'm going with dadgers and short sword because they are easier to aim with the xbox controller

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:38:16 UTC from web
                1. @mushi Same thing then. Melee weapons have a huge sneak multiplier compared to bows. If you have to you can invest in making some poisons that'll help with fights since you're squishy.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:39:34 UTC from web
                  1. @flamingpandaomg yeah, i could make some poisons, i've used all the ones i have. I guess i have to harvest more poison stuff

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:41:15 UTC from web
                    1. @mushi In Oblivion at least it's easier just to go to one of the alchemy shops in the Imperial City and just buy the ingredients in bulk. They're super cheap. Just have to look up which 2 ingredients you need or figure out on your own which you need.

Friday, 12-Jul-13 21:44:06 UTC from web
        2. @mushi I liked that game but couldn't play it either. Something about it made it far too difficult. Skyrim however is very nice.
