@mushi I am not sure whether to give mad props to your 6 year old cousin or not...
-
@mushi I would say that you should definitely NOT let them get GTAV, if you have the option. Apparently it has completely uncensored sex
-
RDN's Lucifer likes this.
-
@rarity Wait, are you some sort of left-wing advocate ? I believe in that you should not tell people what to do, unless if they are a child. which would be exclusively YOUR child. Why do you have GTAV ?
-
@mushi what is that being used to sell
-
@critialcloudkicker "Hate" darn keyboard
-
@rarity no, i dont, they live far and they will be like "ooowwwwn you're such a mama's boy" if i tell them. But whatever. The fist game that little guy olayed was God of war 3, when he was like 3, i think
-
@vt3c facebook :3
-
@mushi He's not going to learn anything from GTA he hasn't already learned from TV
-
@rarity soda, i think
-
@rarity Soft drinks, by the look of it.
-
@rarity But it's nightmare Rarity, so yay anyway. :P
-
@nerthos yeah
-
@nerthos Although, really ? at 6 years old, in brazil ? Surely it is not THAT bad, right ?
-
@nerthos the main point is that he is saying the game is not about killing random people arround and stealing stuff
-
@critialcloudkicker are you serious? You think it's okay for a 6 year old to play a game with graphic sex in it?
-
@critialcloudkicker By age 10 I already had found porn and it wan't such a big deal, and violence and crime I knew from TV and books since I have memory. So it won't really screw his up.
-
@mushi Yeah, and that's pretty dumb considering that's exactly what GTA is about
-
@rarity Yes, I am completely serious. Why do some people advocate that you can not show children graphic video games ( lets forget about the sex for a moment and focus on the violence instead ) while the average stuff they get from sources considdered "normal" ( like TV ) go by completely unscaved ?
-
@rarity the last time he was here he said he didnt like the sex scenes of the games he play, i dont know if he will like GTA then xD
-
@nerthos yeah, he is saying "no! you have to do stuff like taking a taxi and getting jobs"
-
@critialcloudkicker yes, NAtional stuff are rated for 12 year olds but they ususally have way more violence and sex than the games i play, at least.
-
@critialcloudkicker I'm not a big censorship guy AT ALL, but I don't think a 6 year old should be exposed to those things in any form. Maybe when they're 10 or so they can be exposed to it, but 6 is definitely too young
-
@rarity And although I agree, I do not think it would be up to either you or me to decide. This 6 year old has obviously been in contact with GTA games already. So now the ball is in the court of the parents, what would YOU do ?
-
@critialcloudkicker I'd tell the parents they were morons.
-
@rarity if you ask me, i'd say letting him with God of war 3 when he was 3 years old was a worde idea
-
@rarity That's not going to give any good results.
-
@mushi yeah
-
@rarity And what would that get you ? They would not like you at all, that is for sure, and you would end up going nowhere. ... Now what would you do if it was YOUR 6 year old child whom ( you recently found out ) was playing GTA games at his friend's place ?
-
@critialcloudkicker I'd probably tell him that he's too young for them.
-
@nerthos well, if they were letting there kid play GTA, there's probably not much I can do to convince them they are wrong.
-
@rarity There's no way they have that and still have an M rating.
-
@rarity And of course your 6 year old child agrees with you and that is the end of that conversation. Well, yea, if you would give your child a military-like upbringing. A few degrees tougher than I had in an orphanage.
-
@mrmattimation GTA5 has an M rating ?
-
@critialcloudkicker will you shut up? How stupid do you have to be to think that "telling your kid they can't play something" is military like? No, that's called setting rules.
-
@critialcloudkicker Yeah. It has to, otherwise major retailers won't carry the game.
-
@rarity It is totally possible to do so. Ususally those people can be easily swayed if you use the right words.
-
@rarity No I will not shut up since you apearently think that a 6 year old will blindly obey the parents AFTER the fact when something has happned. Now unless if you DO condition your child to be a blind follower of rules you decide on the get-go ( And thus a military-style of parenting ) you will not get anywhere. And you should probably be glad you are not a parent.... Oh and then there is this little something which I'd like to call "I do not like to be called to shut up" especially if it is possibly because you are losing the arguement ... Good day sir *tips hat* I am going to drop the arguement now
-
@critialcloudkicker Look I was a six-year-old once and I can safely say that I obeyed what my parents said when I was that age
-
@critialcloudkicker I'm sorry, good le gent[le]man *le tips fedora*
-
@mrmattimation Wait, does M rating translate to 16+ or 18+ ? ( We have PEGI in Europe... I think )
-
@redenchilada Maybe you were an exception, maybe you had actual good parents. Either way, It is good to know :)
-
@critialcloudkicker It's labeled 17+, but most M games in the US get a 16+ rating with PEGI.
