            @sunflowershimmer Oh, it's a metaphor for the uncanny ability Argentinians have to make a living despite whatever state the country might be in. We've at points dropped at >40% unemployment and recovered in a matter of years.

For example when inflation jumped to a 300% in a matter of months, people implemented large open markets called trueque and sold stuff in exchange for other stuff instead of money. Those things survived for a couple years until money became reliable enough.

      @weedlordhitler That depends on where you are in North America. Virginia is a mostly rural state which is quickly being developed and jobs are popping up all over the place.
