  14. @critialcloudkicker I admit that it wasn't the right example. HIMYM ran for too long and lost its direction in the last 2-3 seasons. And in the end it was too wacky and too rushed with a kick in the balls in the last episode. It was clear that it was a story about "How I want to bang Robin again" and it ended like that as predicted. The most damning fact was that the children's mother was a delight on screen and was killed off extremely fast with barely any time between the death and Ted's desire to be with Robin. The writers crammed every bit of continuity in the last season and last episode that they didn't give the story enough breathing room. The creators of Adventure Time have done so many good stories and I believe they'll do the end gracefully and gradually with closing one plot at a time.

  15. @critialcloudkicker You can let the package manager handle that and its script hooks to clean up itself removing the kernel package.

  16. @critialcloudkicker Each kernel has its own folder for their modules.

  17. @critialcloudkicker Ah. The image itself is in /boot/ as you know. But the other part that filled up the hard disk space is in /lib/modules/ where the kernel modules are stored.

  18. @critialcloudkicker It's the core of the operating system. It contains all the infrastructure for I/O processing, scheduling of processes, drivers/driver loading mechanisms, and much more.

  23. @critialcloudkicker the whole story begins with Apollo telling her he'd give her Oracle-like powers if she sucked his "oh-so-big-I-gotta-be-moved-a-chariot" shlong. He gave her the power then she didn't uphold her end of the bargain.
after hearing this would you trust ANYTHING she'd say?
Could you REALLY trust someone who'd back out on a BJ deal?

  24. @critialcloudkicker Imagine going to the media and saying "Yeah, we're at war with ISIS, but they are going to ally themselves with the Jews and are going to launch an all out attack on our borders, we're gonna kick their asses, but they are still gonna win at the end"
no one in their right minds will believe you, pragmatism or not, it's an so absurdly improvable it doesn't merit a second of anyone's attention
and considering these are doom prophecies, there will be no second or third time

  25. @critialcloudkicker Greek. It's a magic curse that nobody believes her. Most importantly it's just a fictional story. The point being is that nobody believes in an unimaginable truth, at least not very easily.

  27. @critialcloudkicker Long story short: Apollo gave Cassandra the ability of prophecy, soon after he cursed her that nobody believes her. She foretold catastrophes but couldn't prevent them or limit the damages because nobody listened to her.

  30. @critialcloudkicker Knowing the truth, telling the truth, listening to the truth, and accepting the truth are four different things on which this hinges on. In Greek mythology Cassandra tried to warn with her prophecies but she was ignored.
