  4. Ohkay, I do not want to jinx anything. And I have tested it for like... 15 hours now... I got a Junkert operational and running. Chrome is working, Steam is working, Skype is working, Unreal "heaven" stress test is running "smoothly" ... I even installed Battlefield 4 to see if I could get away with it ( The answer ? Yes, but all automatic guns shoot like 2 bullets per frame ) ... But for some reason, I can NOT use USB, lest I want the whole thing to BSOD me immediatly :/

Note: A Junkert, otherwise known as a necroPC, is a PC that is made from junk-parts. Mine is now the proud owner of 3 different shades of solder :)

  7. @redenchilada I wonder more whom the BC was for anyway, if they wanted it to have impact they would have come with it out of the gates 2 years ago when releasing the thing. Instead they ( when the drm 'call home' thing was still a thing ) deferred to the Xbox360 for people who could not oblidge to that "need". Now we are 2 years after release, those who wanted to remain 360-game-able still have a 360 attached and ready to go( perhaps next to the Xapple ). And to me, because they showed no new kinect things at all on E3, it feels like a " see, we care about our customers" scapegoat so that people with short attention span will forget at one point the Xgrape came unsepperable from the Kinect... But thats just how I see it from what I've heard and saw

  8. @metaltao is it me ? Or does the whole backwards compattibility thing on the Xbone rather un-consoley-like ? I mean, you have the game for lastgen, now you can get it on newgen by proving ownership and from what I've heard now have to download the whole game again in prepackaged new standard that will run on newgen... That whole process screams Mac or PC to me ( maybe a big dab of Mac, cus PC has "generations" like a stick of butter has layers/rings )

  9. "Hey guess what, about that thing you own & love, well, its kinda broken now" ... I heard that like 5 and a half times past week ( at least, I sopped counting ater 5.5 because its not good for my health ) ... *sigh* the weekend seems too far away

  12. @mushi And, ehmm, blood is a base so... It will not dissolve into your bloodstream ? ... And... Ehmm... Smoking will tar-ify your lungs, isn't tar a base ? ... Maybe they will cancel eachother out ?

  13. @mushi Hmm, might be a tough one, I have no idea what sort of damage your formic acid vapour actually does inside of your lungs, and what chemical bond remains once it has dissolved some of your insides. Your lungs do have the capability to clear themselves, mostly due to small hairs. So I'm probably going to put all of my money on the stuff that destroy's or renders inoperable most of your lunghairs.

  17. @adiwan Nono, LARPers would not sit around a table, unless if they were drinking beer... And I do not condone any form of Inception here. we're not going to talk about LARPers who play DnD ... But, ehmm, at least wear a crown when you're the king or something :)

  19. @mushi I would join you if I could. I mean, well, I am mainly saying this to make you feel better. But have a list of why I couldn't just in case. 1: commuting will be a big itch. 2: I do not speak Portuguese/Brazillian 3: I can only come up with 2 reasons and that is a big problem.

  23. @adiwan That sounds ... probably very boring to someone who does not give 2 cents or has no solid clue what you are talking about. Me however, I am jealous. And although I have no idea what DnD you're playing, I sorta want to sit at a table in the wee-hours dressed up as a hill-dwarf with a solid mustashe and mithril pants, hogging the crisps and ALL the beer. ... Dwarves love beer right ?

  24. Hmm, I just blew up my Heineken Speakerkratjes ... http://www.hifi.nl/gfx/Heineken_4_030907.jpg which were promotional items from 2008 or something... I wonder if I should think about fixing them, or just tossing them. After all they are just cheaply china made thingies.

  25. Sorta reminds me of those old assassinations ( KGB was kinda notorious this way, although the CIA and AIVD were no pretty boys either ) who used own developed gadgets to fire .22 rounds ( really small rounds ) really close into the skull of who they wanted dead, the round would just have enough velocity to enter the cranial space and pingpong ( ricochet ) around internally like a pingpong ball in a bucket. ... Humans are really creative in killing their own kind

  26. @awl it still depends on ammo type by some degree. Hollow points or ballpoints have the tendancy to make an exit wound when fired in 7.62 format, even more so in 5.52 and 5.56 however. They do very nasty things inside the body. Regardless of firearm though, beter not get shot, but when you are actually shot, better pray it's a FMJ, I'd say ( I do not have any experience with non FMJ GSW's )

  27. @adiwan I'm probably going sim-only after my contract expires. My S4 is pretty much all that I require, and I do not think it will be obsolete before tragedy strikes. I'll probably be at least 50% cheaper off

  28. @adiwan /me owns a Samsung Galaxy S4 with an Otterbox Preserver protective case. It has been nicknamed "the fridge" my others and "flying brick" by me on multiple occasions. I think the size is just right, a bit too big for a phone, maybe, but I do not need a tablet IMHO. Yet people STILL try to convince me to buy a tablet because it's "soo easy to use one compared to a phone, which is smaller" ... I honestly rather have a big-ish phone that is made for all weather conditions, and a laptop in a weather-proof suitcase/bag for when I need some serious processing power. ... But I guess size is really in the eye of the beholder, I find the HTC Desire Z rather small, dated, and flimzy. Although I really would like a keyboard on my phone, Bluetooth just is not my thing either.
