@valiantratchet Honestly, it benefits from mods a lot less than FO3. I can't actually remember any mod I've seen that I actually wanted.

@valiantratchet Yes, you do. Get the ultimate edition if possible, I simply can't recommend the story DLC enough. (The other two DLC also add: 1) some very nice weapons, 2) some very nice starting gear, but they're not really essential. But the ultimate edition is cheaper than buying the game and all 4 story DLCs, so whether or not the non-story DLCs appeal doesn't even need to factor into it.)

@valiantratchet More notably, Torchlight runs basically everywhere (even crappy netbooks), has full steam cloud support, and even comes in DRM free variants/non-steam. Also: It's cheaper than Diablo, and preordering the sequel gets you the first one for free.

@valiantratchet Torchlight did huge rounds in the gaming media when it was launched. It caught a lot of attention because it was developed by most of the original diablo team (and boy does it show). It even got an XBL port. It is by no means an obscure or hipster title at this stage.
