@purpletinker Guys, I am currently in a funk here. Rainbowdash.net's 1st birthday is approaching (April 4), and it appears that ponies are leaving, and simply not staying with us because this site gets old pretty quick. I am considering options on how to give our site a make over... but I don't know what you guys want in a social networking site for bronies! If you have suggestions, let me know... or we are not going to invest any more money, time or effort in keeping this place alive. We outlasted flankbook, but if we don't hear back from you, the user, we will perish. --Cabal

@ceruleanspark Perhaps you should set up a dedicated ad fund pool. And as the fund keeps growing you keep using the current amount to try bidding on a spot on Derpibooru/etc. DB uses a bid system now a days. Just a food for thought.

@mistabrony !atlantabronies hey guys i know the momo con meetup is coming and fast but i know for a fact a homestuck (a really poupular web comic) meetup is happening there too and that many homestuck fans are bronys as well so it might be a good idea for mistabrony go on to tumblr and post any meetup info on the atlstuck tumbler wall cause i know alot of them might not be even aware of the rainbow dash network and atlanta bronies dont have a tumbler yet or at least i couldnt find it. just a thought

@jimmyjuce !atlantabronies Hey there guys! Long time no see. So YES, I am organizing a Momocon meetup. I am currently working at Momocon as the Head of Staffing, and I am waiting to figure out what day and time of the con to do it on, based on the scheduling of panels. Since Momocon is now at the same location as Dragon Con, the meetup will be at the same location, the 10th floor terrace of the Marriott Marquis. I will make sure to come back and tell you guys more information as I learn it. If you guys have any suggestions, since I know some of you have held meetups before, please feel free to post them =) Thanks!

!AtlantaBronies The programing director at Furry Weekend Atlanta talked me into playing host to a Brony meet and greet that Saturday (March 17th). If it's anything like how I'm told a lot of the other con's Brony meet ups went, it's gonna be huge, and a great opportunity to meet fans from across the country, and even the world. I'm super stoked, and a little nervous too. I hope to see some of you guys there!

!atlantabronies So, who among you would be up for a meetup somewhere in the area of Snellville/Stone Mountain? We can discuss times/locations little by little, just trying to see how many people would be willing to make the trek. Also, I am currently in talks with the manager of the Centerville Wal-Mart to potentially do a feature on blind bag ponies. But she need to see numbers. Numbers of people not just willing to buy a few, but those willing to by whole boxes in order to even consider doing it. So i ask: How many of you can/are willing to make that trip for the blind bags? @almostromantic I thought about the park. The idea is still on the table, but I am not particularity familiar with the restaurants in that area and wasn't sure if folks would want to make the drive from the park to 124 or The Avenue at Webb Ginn just to eat. If you know any good places near the park though I'm completely open to suggestions. I was also thinking hit Wal-Mart or Target as part of the outing. Try to let everyone pickup some blind bags and/or other pony swag if they want.

@cabal What ever it is, that program their kids told them to run instead of running the Internet when they connect on American Online. (Sorry, I hear this from my parents all the time, too. Sad testament to the level of computer expertise in my family to think that I somehow wound up the family "computer person".)

Looks like it's possible that the site problems were due to us exceeding the daily quota for the geolocation service we used. Or a DoS attack. Or both! 9.6

@colfax I disabled the geolocation plugin for now. Let's see if it helps. If so, I can probably implement a local geolocation proxy. That'd cut down on the number of requests we send.
