  8. @eyepie At the time they were saying that firmware updating, whilst necessary, would always be done at service time by mechanics, so no wireless hardware was involved.

  9. @eyepie Which is funny because back in the day (I used to work in market research), automotive systems engineers were swearing blind that they'd never allow any of the cars external comms hardware to communicate with any of the motive systems.

  11. @eyepie It's scary to think about the fact that this is possible. It's like something out of a technology fearing sci-fi story.

  15. @eyepie I'm alright. I recently woke up and made myself lunch, and now I'm just checking various social media before I head on the bus back home later.

  19. @eyepie That's understandable, and definitely something that must be overcome when creating and using an account on any publicly available forum. We tend to bounce through a wide variety of topics here though, so I'm sure at some point you'll find something you can latch onto and feel comfortable contributing to!

  20. @eyepie Well, lots of people here do talk in various private chats outside of the site, but this site itself is still a good place for general discussion and posting. Your posts won't get swallowed by the void here (barring, of course, that trolls with nothing better to do don't come raiding the site when mods aren't online).

  21. @eyepie That's why I've stuck around here. I honestly have no interest whatsoever in MLP these days, but the community here isn't oversaturated so there's a much better capacity for strong discussion.
