I've always been a fan of sappy "magic girls" stories. (I was a big fan of Angel Moxie and Earthsong), and I liked 6teen for it's snappy writing and animation. With the first episodes of FiM being the exact plot of every Final Fantasy game ever created, it was love at first sight. >.>

@purplephish20 @princesshugs It was a regular day at work. I was in my truck, listening to CBC Radio 1, when Q with Jian Ghomeshi came on with his segment on "bronies", where he was interviewing someone about their origins and what it was all about. The instant I heard "grown men in their 20's celebrating a show for little girls", I KNEW I had to check it out. After work, I went home, downloaded Season 1, watched the first two episodes, cried, and loved it-- just as I always knew I would. ;p
