Alright guys, if you were getting a top of the range Android phone, would you get the Samsung Galaxy SII or the Galaxy Nexus? !androidbronies !techponies
-
I do hope it isn't just a temporary victory though. Also, don't know whether to wait for the next Samsung flagship device before upgrading. !androidbronies !techponies
-
The phone's speakers seem to have started working again...thank god. !androidbronies !techponies
-
Seriously, screw htc. The sooner I can upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy SII the better. This is the THIRD time I've had a major fault. >< !androidbronies !techponies
-
...Okay what the hell? I've just noticed that there's no sound coming out of my Desire Z without the use of headphones, it didn't do this before I sent it off to be fixed a second time. >< Problem after problem....I can't sell it like this! What good is a phone without a bloody speaker?! !androidbronies !techponies
-
Mum has told my nan that my phone (htc Desire Z) is back from htc o.O That was alarmingly quick for a repair! (in my experience) !techponies !androidbronies
-
Going to try and get whatever I can for my htc Desire Z when it gets back from being fixed and put it towards a Samsung Galaxy SII. Used my cousin's extensivley and I love it. !techponies !androidbronies
-
I've had the Wildfire S on charge for several hours, and it seems to be stuck at 44% :/ What the hell? !androidbronies !techlonies
-
The Wildfire S seems to take longer to charge than my Desire Z, for some reason. No idea why however. :S !androidbronies !techponies
-
An application I'm trying to install won't install due to "Insufficient storage space" there's a Micro SD card with 20GB free plugged into it :/ (using my mum's htc Wildfire S) !techponies !androidbronies
-
@ceruleanspark Hmmm...true :/ Still, I know for a fact that some (but not all) applications can be moved to a Micro SD card after being installed. Did it on my Desire Z to make space for apps that could only use the internal memory.
-
@leonkfox The apps need to be flagged for that by the dev.
-
@ceruleanspark Makes sense. Well, I'll have to move a few over to free space for this application I'm trying to install.

-
Just called htc about the fault I've been having when taking my phone (Desire Z) out of standby mode, it'll be collected between 1-5pm tomorrow :) !androidbronies !techponies

Tweeting from my cousin's Samsung Galaxy SII...I am so jealous of this phone that i's unreal x.x I wish I hadn't been so fixated with having a physical keyboard on my phone when I changed from my BlackBerry Curve 8520. This phone is hella easy to type on with just a touch screen, has a far superior design than my htc Desire Z and it runs a LOT smoother. So yeah, jealousy levels rising... !androidbronies !techponies
-
Think I'll have to send my phone back to htc :/ This will be the second time I've done this, and fallen back on my old BlackBerry Curve 8520. !androidbronies !techponies

9/10 times when I try to get my htc Desire Z out of standby I only get the buttons to light up on my phone. Problem after problem with this phone.. (And factory resetting didn't help at all, already tried it) !androidbronies !techponies

Oh dear lord, when my phone shakes one irritating habit (touch screen locking up) the damn thing finds itself another one to use to get on my nerves, something awful I might add. Basically, I hit the power button to turn it on/get it out of standby, and the capactive buttons underneath the screen light up...but sweet candy coated bugger all appears on screen, and it can go on for several minutes at a time. Are these constant issues all Android related, or is it just me being unlucky with this htc Desire Z? -_- !techponies !androidbronies

Oh, it seems Mustard (Android StatusNet client) has started working again. Even though StatusNet Android does the job of accessing RDN just fine bar for the odd crash now and again I am glad to be able to use Mustard again! !androidbronies

My new 32gb Micro SD card arrived yesterday (old one fell out of my phone after said phone fell off my desk, and due to their incredibly small size finding it has been nothing short of impossible) and I've been working on rebuilding my music, video etc libraries, starting with all the FiM episodes. I'm downloading them via TubeMate (Unofficial YouTube Downloader app for Android, need to download it from the browser) and it's taking quite some time. I would just torrent them all, but I torrented them all in good quality and they lagged on my phone big time, downloading them through TubeMate to ensure that doesn't happen, even if it does take longer. !techponies !androidbronies

For some reason ever since I did a factory reset on my phone Mustard hasn't worked properly, I go on my friends' timeline and it fails to show any notices, it doesn't even TRY to load them. The Public timeline occasionally works, but until this is fixed I'm going to have to use the official StatusNet app. :/ !androidbronies
-
Upon rebooting my phone I am using StatusNet's Official Android app for the first time in...well, a while, let's just put it that way. And it seems to have stopped crashing o.o I may just use this instead of Mustard, bar for the lack of Notifications for @ Mentions it has everything I used on Mustard, but looks so much nicer. !androidbronies

Did a total factory reset of my phone...why may you ask? Because most of my applications (I'd guess more than 3/4 of them) were installed onto my 32gb Micro SD Card...which got lost in my room when my phone fell off of my desk earlier. Finding it is going to be impossible, what with how miniscule those things are, and how much stuff there is in my room. All of my FiM episodes, music, pictures...it's all replaceable, but rebuilding it is going to be a nightmare, plus I have to burn a whole in my wallet and order a new one...(The fact that I still experience frequent Launcher Crashes even after said reset really irritates me as well! #FirstWorldPains !techponies !androidbronies

It's a good year or so off, but when this contract ends I don't see myself getting another Android phone, I may just go with Windows Phone 7. !techponies !androidbronies

Why in hell does every single root guide skip every third step as if I know how to do do it? If I need a guide, I need every step of the guide, or it's not a guide. #rage !androidbronies

Really wish Mega Drive ROMS would still load on my phone, NES,SNES etc do, it's just Mega Drive. Loved playing the classic Sonics on it. !vgp !androidbronies !techponies

htc Vivid..another new htc device. Somebody give me a fiver everytime these guys make a new phone, I'll be loaded! (I do like htc, I actually have a Desire Z, but the amount of handsets these guys release is ridiuclous considering how little differs between them. !androidbronies !techponies

You know what I'd love to have eventually? A figurine or a plush of Google's Android mascot. I find it adorable for some reason, no idea why. !androidbronies

@ponydude2143 ...Are you MyLittleDiscord on Twitter, by any chance? :P (Got a reply from them that said exactly the same thing)

@ponydude2143 Ah, so that was just a coincidence then. XD Sorry, just wanted to ask is all :P

At times I think "I could cope with just an on screen keyboard phone" and then I see messages with blatantly obvious typos like "tge" for "the" that I would have never made if using a physical QWERTY keyboard. I know most on screen keyboards have auto correct, but that actually buggers me up more times than it does help. !androidbronies
-
Downloaded an Android application called "Smart Keyboard" lets you use different on screen keyboards, using the Samsung one atm. When I change phones next year after my contract expires I may well go with a touch screen only device, I'm getting better and better at typing with an on screen keyboard, especially with this new keyboard app. (I have it set to the Samsung keyboard atm) !androidbronies

@ceruleanspark I just put Swipe into the Android market and I didn't see anything that looked official, I assumed it would be an official paid for application. (Possibly with a trial available)
-
@leonkfox It's swype, with a Y, and it's in beta, so you need to get the APK from their website.
-
@ceruleanspark Ah, I follow you. I'll download it when I'm next on a PC.
-
-
I look at videos of Ice Cream Sandwich on the Samsung Nexus and just think "...Damn...that looks AWESOME! Sucks my phone won't get it :( !androidbronies
-
@leonkfox the first 3 were internal betas. Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich
-
@ceruleanspark Ah, I see what you mean. ^^
-
@leonkfox ohhh. cool

Sometimes I wonder if I may as well have just spent a bit more money and gotten a Samsung Galaxy S2, since I actually use my phone's on screen keyboard quite a bit anyway, like I am right now. !androidbronies !techponies
