@redenchilada that would be rather complicated. And requires a business case to justify such a expensive implementation. I don't think @purpletinker would do it, and @ceruleanspark would not pay for it,

@pyravia I have actually eaten at the Cannery in Monteray Bay, CA. It was a 5-star Restaurant where a suit was required to eat in the first class dining room. They also brought out a tray of fake desserts which you could select one. My father and I also snuck into the wine celler where there was a King sized long table with a ordinate guest of honor chair. So Cash!

@redenchilada We didn't drink the wine! This is when I was a teen and my father explained about the different types of wine, and some random gibberish about the dates. Those bottles were dusty as my parents computer after three years.

Sat. 11th, someone was looking into hiking Santiago Peak in Orange County, and Sun. 12th someone's looking to pull together a potluck an the Korean Bell of Friendship in San Pedro (Pey-dro or Peh-dro, not Pee-dro, you pinche gringos (j/k)). And on Sunday 19th someone is looking to pull together a group to see "The Expendables 2." I'm going to tie "action stars tag-team blowing dudes in pieces" to "friendship" somehow. . . . !SoCal and !LAbronies -- Looks like people are really angling to take advantage of the last days of the summer. On Friday, August 10th there are two meetups -- One at the "dinosaur park" in Laguna Hills, as well as a farewell to a visitor on a summer internship at Cheesecake Factory in Anaheim. Saturday 11th, a beach meetup in Huntington AND a park meetup/potluck in Anaheim. Sunday 12th, a walkaround meetup at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. XD Anyway, of course the #GrandGallopingGala is tonight, from 1700-2400! I suppose at this stage there's hardly any point in saying anything.... @ceruleanspark I gave G1 and G2 a try and I honestly didn't like it. I do have some positive things I could say about the G1 primme time specials but even those are very small by the pain the terrible voice acting does.

@scribble I don't say she is dispicable - some aspects of her even are awesome. Still - I don't see how she is virteous. Generousity is nice but a friend shows when you really need one, not when this friend has enough of his/her own to spare you some. I would not trust her and trust is the basis of all friendship...

@silverfeather Nah, it really is just bad voice acting. Very bad recording quality (the songs had a decent quality though) which even managed to be worse as He Man. G2 did the voice acting allright but I didn't like the stories of G2.

And then, into August! Starting off with a trip to the OC Fair on Friday 3rd, and two events on Saturday 4th -- one at Tom's Farms in Corona, and one at the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens (which is NOT in Huntington Beach). I know sometimes it becomes a hellish place here, but that's more human nature than your fault. It's impossible to always get 100% along with each other. But still, in general, I think this is one of the best managed communities I've seen in a while. Sure, sometimes things happen that upset others, but that doesn't mean this place is terrible. The site is quite usable, the moderation seems to be about right (neither too extreme, nor so soft it becomes like 4chan) and all-along this is one of my favorite places to be. I know that most of you don't often hear what you deserve to hear, so I will speak it out loud: Thank you, all of you, for making this place possible. I'm happy it exists, even though I may sometimes sound like I'm not. RDN is a great place, and I don't want it to disappear at all, it became like a second home

My likely very cheesy individual thank yous to the admins: @mrdragon, You have always tried to figure out the best way possible to make RDN a great community, and in my opinion, it is. its probably the only community like it that i have stayed more "permanantely" in. @colfax whenever i see someone is RPing on here, and im about to show them to the RP site, I always notice that you already have done so. No rule is broken without a notice from you. @ceruleanspark though we always blame you when the site breaks, you always fix it. then people just ignore you. I wouldnt know the first thing about site coding, so i have alot of respect for ya. @purpletinker Im not really sure if you still are very involved with the site, but from what i remember, you used to be, so thanks for that. @cabal Well, your cabal. What can i say, you made a great decision to create this site. To all: I joined this site exactly 3 months, 4 weeks ago. 120 days. Arguably, this is the best website i have ever been on.

!SoCal and !LAbronies -- Update on events for July. Of course, the #GrandGallopingGala is still slated for Friday the 27th (plenty of time to get a nice outfit for the event). San Diego Comic Con starts TOMORROW, and has several MLP sub-events including a breakfast and a panel on Friday and a big meet on Saturday. Friday the 20th there'll be a bonfire in San Diego, Saturday the 21st a meetup in Redondo Beach, and Sunday 22nd is still a "go" for Disney California Adventure. And it seems a fellow in Rowland Heights is having a 21+ birthday party on Friday the 27th for those unable or uninterested in attending the Gala.
