@verybritishrarity Aw, I confess that I worried a little that you might have been another who joined up, saw the way things can get around here, and found that your time could be better spent elsewhere. Very glad to hear that I was mistaken! As for me, oh, busybusybusy, and fighting a bit of a cold right now, but overall doing pretty well, thank you! OH! By the way, how did the hoodie come out? :) Or is that why you put your sewing machine up for adoption?

Feeling mildly like crap from a bad cold, but still pushing myself to work because I was able to finish my morning shower without the need to fall back into bed before it's over (sort of my litmus for staying home). And, yet, PinkiePieSwear's tunes still make me want to bounce around the train. Behold, the power of ponies.

@mrdragon Awww! I hope that you feel better there, soon, and that things work out for your honey. Saw your note about that. It's frustrating, when someone you care about is going through a rough patch, and you want so much to fix it and make it better for her. Most likely, though, after all is said and done, what she really needs isn't for you or anyone to fix everything, but to just understand and support her while she deals with this. Doesn't make things any easier on you, but . . . :) And, yes, ponies definitely seem to have a way of brightening gloomy, low days. It's The Power of Ponies. :)

@ceruleanspark Thanks! :) Heh! If I called in sick every time I felt bad in the morning, I would probably be very unemployed. I've never been a morning person, so waking up any time before noon feeling "bleh" is sort of standard. The shower sort of gets me past that, normally. So, when I can't finish a shower without having to stop and lie down, I know that I'm useless to anyone, and need to take it easy.

My little cousin came over for Thanksgiving. She was really sad that there weren't any other little kids there for her to play with. So I went and got a few of my ponies and let her play with them. She loved them and it warmed my heart to see how happy they made her. I let her keep my Pinkie Pie.

Amazon.co.uk were selling Nintendo 3DS's for £120 yesterday (seeing as it was Black Friday) and despite having sold mine earlier this year (and having my very first one stolen) I ordered one. ^^ The Red one to be precise, a new colour since I last had mine. Headed into town to buy Super Mario Land 3D for when it arrives, and meeting up with a friend in the process :) !vgp

!vabronies vabeach meetup - OK, anyway, we did have pizza, two people brought rainbow cupcakes, and we watched 5 of the 6 Season 2 episodes, in between talking with a bunch of other gamers from the gaming store (mostly yugioh), got a few more people to sit and watch with us, and had discussions about how the brony phenomenon is spreading, some of the fan-art and youtube stuff. We also discussed several methods of what to better arrange for another meetup, and that the store itself will host us again, and is moving to a larger area in January. Hope that covers the gist of what happened. Looking forward to another scheduled event, and a bigger turnout. We had about a dozen people, not coun ting the few extras that sat down for an episode or so.

@derps don't worry about it! What direction? The store is moving into VA Beach proper, if I understand correctly, about a half hour or more from it's old location. Might be closer to you, but most likely further. If we have enough heads up, I'm sure some people can make arrangements, hehe.

I still came away feeling pretty good, though. That same girl last year, and that whole family, was just miserable. This year, when she left, she was beaming like it had been her best Thanksgiving so far. In her young life, with that family, it might well have been. To heck with the doubters and haters. That's what keeping it pony is all about.

@nerthos Unfortunately, that's an astute observation. We really do seem to think the worst of the best of intentions, and it seems the ones most likely to gain our trust are those who are the most skilled at manipulating it. Sign of the times, I suppose.

@astra Well, being skilled at manipulating is really useful. Whilst I'm good at it, and reading people, some ignorants think that I do what I do out of bad intentions. But well, either way they end up losing. The best way to work with them is just walking around them. Sooner or later, they end up losing, and alone xD

Weirdness renewed when my honey asked me to look up something on the internet on my tablet, and I told her that I didn't have it set up on their wifi. She asked how I was able to show the episodes, and I told her that I had them all stored on the tablet. She'd already told me I was getting obsessed before when I joked that I'd had them all on my phone. (I actually just had them linked on YouTube, though confess that I do have them on there now.) She gave me that same worried look here, and stammered through trying to tell me again that I was taking things too far. My expression must have fallen hard, because she suddenly changed her tune, laughing and saying that I had to set her up with those. I smiled, and nodded, but got the message. Not the best feelings, one minute thought of as a pervert corrupting young children, the next being an obsessed freak (though I suppose there might be validity to the latter claim).
