  5. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony I didn't say it wasn't a stupid decision. I was just outlining the decision making process. Personally I don't think much of Honeycomb and the tablets that run it in comparison to the iPad, so I don't buy into the "Apple is threatened" argument myself.

  8. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony I think the computer crashed once during an update and damaged some viable files. I don't know. But the PC made always problems. I use 3 other PCs with debian and I never had such problems.

  9. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony Eyup! My father used to fix all the problems when I was young but I'm now the computer administrator for my family and it sucks.

  12. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony @scribus For some reason the pc still has some kernel panics, especially when I had to install a lot of updates. The last update caused that the pc was unbootable. The rest of the family complained that they can't use the pc because of linux. E.g. there is no photoshop and the scanner software is different and WINE takes forever to start spider solitaire. So that's the story of the stubborn pc I have to maintain.

  13. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony As someone with an entirely non-religious upbringing, I find this totally fascinating.

  15. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony "Maybe we can find our cutie marks campaigning for conservative values of a golden age that only existed in peoples minds." "Yeah, and we can bring bibles and pamphlets and give everypony that signs a purity ring!" "Yuck! That won't convince anypony! We need fire! We need brimstone!"

  17. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony Well I've met people with...well...foot fetishes before, but never anything related to socks specifically. I don't get it myself, but...yeah, to each their own I guess. (for those that are into that sort of thing)

  20. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony Can I recommend a tool called "RescueTime" here? It'll block the connection on a systemwide level, but only for sites that it determines are a distraction based on a profile you give it of what you're suposed to be doing.
