  3. @rozeluck great, now I'm imagining the solar system of Viatula. See what you've made me do! :D

  4. @ceruleanspark The difference is really that noticeable? Me and the gf are going out looking for a tv for our apartment next week, I'll be sure to keep sound in mind.

  5. @stumperman oh, didn't know that, sorry. ;)

  10. @valiantratchet well, then I am just plain wrong. >.<

  11. @hakupony I disagree on that front. Plato was very much into fate and that the noblest way to live was to accept it(fate). My point is not that the god of war games are wrong...it is that they are steeped in modern thinking, which is fundamentally different from how people thought at the time the games are supposed to happen. To a degree, that is inevitable, but Kratos is still a bit jarring to me.

  12. @valiantratchet well I never got a psp so I am not ashamed to ask: are you saying that Kratos is an olympian himself? Because that would pretty much invaludate my argument. :)

Saturday, 21-Apr-12 14:01:14 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  13. @hakupony but...but the classical greek hero does fail. Because fate is hard, and he is ultimately not as powerful as the olympians. That is where the god of war games fail, by giving Kratos control over his own destiny...something greek mythology is very adamant about man NOT having.

  14. @valiantratchet I haven't tried those, but I'd like to at some point.

Saturday, 21-Apr-12 13:50:50 UTC from MuSTArDroid in context
  15. @valiantratchet What's there to get? Self-obsessed modern man tramples over greek mythology while completely missing the philosophy and mind-set of the time period...

  16. @valiantratchet I guess I prefer cod, it's just a shame they stopped making games after modern warfare #

  18. Anyway, NOW I really have to put my RPGs in boxes, moving day is next friday!

  20. @nerthos What about tag team wrestling matches with my friends versus hers?

Monday, 16-Apr-12 17:21:42 UTC from StatusNet Desktop in context
  21. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony I only want the best for you, man. Righteousness should triumph over romance based slavery! Hehe, I'll be looking forward to either outcome. Also, settle issues with jousts. It's the best way to do so.

Monday, 16-Apr-12 17:20:30 UTC from web in context Repeat of nerthos
  22. @nerthos @colfax There' no convincing you two. If we crash and burn a month after moving together I'll just say "Nertho and Colfax totally called it" when we're having rows.

  23. Anyway, I have stuff to pack in little boxes. I'm keeping all my RPGs and looking forward to having regular game nights because it'll be my own damn house (Well, it'll be the bank's house, but I'll own 50 % of the debt.) I'll try to dash a bit more often again once I've settled in.

Monday, 16-Apr-12 17:15:23 UTC from StatusNet Desktop in context
  24. @colfax I think I may have unintentionally made her seem a bet mean. She didn't forbid me, she said, "please don't go, I'd be afraid you'd get in the paper and then I'd have to explain it." Tbh, the local meet-up consist of just 15-16 year old kids, and that may be part of it.

  25. @purplephish20 It's not like I am going to stop watching the show, or reading fanfics. Like I said, she's in for a few surprises of her own.

Monday, 16-Apr-12 17:02:26 UTC from StatusNet Desktop in context
  26. @toksyuryel Eh, I can live with it as long as it is just that. She's going to have to make a few adjustments as well.

Monday, 16-Apr-12 16:58:54 UTC from web in context
  27. @purplephish20 I know, but what can I do, it's not like that alone is going to destroy nine years of our relationship.

  28. @lilytheamazingfaintingpony And having dashed a dash with spelling errors in it, that became a vintage Lilytheamazingfaintingpony dash. :)

  29. BTW, there are various reasons why I haven't been on here for the past few months, but now I can reveal the big one: I'm becoming a home owner! There're good news and bad news regarding that. The good news: It's awesome. The bad news; my woman is anti-brony and so she has stipulatd that once I move in, I can't go to any brony meetup, EVAR. Stupid girlfriend...
