@limme I just hung around for a while. Ended up confronting them and talking to them first seems to help. Be interested in what they say, and bring up your thoughts on a subject when people get reallyinto a discussion.

@limme Well, I've been at work for eight hours, but I don't think there is anyone active on RDN that I wouldn't recommend talking to. They're all interesting people. And groups aren't really used all that much, to be honest.

@limme Basically, a lot of animators actually use older versions of the program either due to personal preference or due to their lack of need or ability to upgrade. Fluffle Puff uses Adobe Flash CS6. BrainstormAlex, creator of The Brony Community and Everybody Hates Ponies series, uses Flash CS3. I use Flash 8. The version I think you're probably using, Flash CC 2015, introduced a massive UI change that sort of differentiates itself from the other programs but if you can figure out the basics you can do it fine. The things you need to figure out are the timeline, the properties tab, and the library window and from there you can follow other tutorials regardless of version.
