  1. @zach To which I assume you're not listening?

  2. @zach As in, you're not allowed here anymore, or your bluff was called?

  3. @shori Can't blame Yuffie. It's your own fault for carrying something important that starts with "ma-".

  4. @pinhooves Morning!

  5. @shalabajza I've learned all the technique I care about from my current guitar teacher, who plays bluegrass stuff professionally. Understandably, I didn't want to learn that. Now I just mess around. I've reached the level of proficiency I want to, now I just need to mess around to learn everything else. Look up some tabs, play them to my roommate's less-than-stellar singing. It works out.

  6. @shori Fine. It's name is Tank. Yuffie stole all your Master Balls. A wild Torterra appears!

  7. @shalabajza I pay attention. I enjoy music, for sure. To the point I can't listen to my roommate's attempts to play acoustic. His strumming is not natural at all! It's like an alien dragging a fingernail across a somehow tuned chalkboard, and trying to sing the same note at the same time.

  8. @zach And I don't consider myself a bad influence, because I'm not engendering anything you weren't predisposed to. It's like hypnosis, if it wasn't in your being, then you can't be hypnotized to do it. Even so, think it over first. If the consequences aren't worth it, don't force yourself. This is your choice.

  9. @shori ...You do know it's not a Turtwig?

Sunday, 27-Nov-11 18:36:42 UTC from web in context
  10. @shalabajza Even so, I don't think there's nearly as much good stuff today as there has been in years past. There's plenty of good rock, sure, but don't devote yourself to it! Good chiptune and dubstep is equally far removed from rock as jazz and swing are, they deserve a chance. Especially Herbie Hancock, btw. Fusion doesn't get nearly enough attention now, and it's considerably closer to rock than the swing.

  11. @zach Then hide it better! Come on, scheme!

  12. @shori You caught a Chikorita! Nickname it?

Sunday, 27-Nov-11 18:31:54 UTC from web in context
  13. @zach Better yet, do it with the pretense of Christmas shopping, so you can have an excuse to not have anyone look! Get an actual Christmas present or two in there, but it should be doable.

  14. @zach I'm a little surprised you can't manage to sneak off to Walmart with 6$ and get one of the small brushables. That's pretty much what I did. I'm sure you could scheme enough to pull it off.

Sunday, 27-Nov-11 18:29:11 UTC from web in context
  15. @shalabajza No, no no no no no no! I enjoy the Foo Fighters plenty, but you can't go on with out some older stuff! I'm not too much for real old and classy jazz, but the fusion? Herbie Hancock's Head Hunters album was AWESOME! But even some of the older stuff, like In The Mood? Great stuff. Van Morrison's Moondance is great, good swing, good for improv. Little off-genre, Ellington's Caravan is awesome. You can't ignore old music, or you'll never recognize good music!

  16. @shalabajza Reverse Grave'd!

  17. @shalabajza I don't know. It's pretty strange.

  18. @ponyveteran @zach I don't think Hasbro makes plushies. Little baby plushies, maybe, but not of adult ponies.

  19. @zach Good luck, you'll get through eventually.

  21. @shalabajza My high school's got a Jazz Ensemble. Pretty awesome.

  22. @shalabajza Ok, what are you using as an apostrophe? Because that's not an apostrophe. It looks like a reversed grave accent...

  23. @zach I've been blessed with exceptionally tolerant parents, for sure. Tolerant community in general, actually. And I absolutely love my little Pinkie Pie. I carry her around everywhere, if not openly.

  24. @shalabajza Why so grave?

  25. @zach That'd be my Christmas wish at least.

  26. @shalabajza Drums takes some work, far as I can tell. If I put a decent amount of practice, and got a drumset, I could probably pull it off, though. No one's ever accused me of having bad rhythm, unlike some drummers I know.

  27. @madflavors Still a little awesome.

  29. @shalabajza That branch of the string family is actually the only big type of instrument I still want to try. Maybe double-reeded woodwinds as well.
