  1. @northernnarwhal Save for the station but yeah! It was surprisingly well grounded! Hell, I loved the inclusion of the moons of Mars off in the distance. How far away and small...

  2. @northernnarwhal Oh! Sorry! I'll read that!

  3. @northernnarwhal THOUGH! The use of a rotating space station is bull. Even though it can produce G's, you need a 100 M diameter ring that is the length of two ISS's and when you stand, you'll be disoriented by the fact that your head is spinning faster than your feet which would normally be the other way around. My god!

  4. @northernnarwhal It's grindhouse, definitely. Looks like every shot was one take.

  5. @northernnarwhal Yeah! I am not often a fan of movies, but wow, I loved it. Saw it with a friend during a video call and it was great!

  6. @northernnarwhal Have you seen the Martian? spoiler: im reminded of that one guy played by Childiah Gambino who keeps slipping on papers on his room at NASA

  10. @northernnarwhal "You see, it's not a mess, it's a study in thermal dynamics! Entropy!"

  11. @northernnarwhal high five! For rotting oranges and broken stone!

  12. @northernnarwhal Terrible. But fascinatingly so.

  13. @northernnarwhal Heh, thanks, but I'm not the one with the problem. It stems from my friend. If only I had the infinite wisdom to help someone clear up their confusion about what to do with their infinite uncertainties. I don't know. kiwi it would even be nice to comprehend how to clean my own appleing room. But anyways, I recognize this vocalist. (But not the weird chick in the background)

  14. @northernnarwhal @metaltao It's on Bizarre TV right now. It was on earlier in the weekend, too, but I've forgotten the name.

  20. @northernnarwhal We wound up talking about creepypasta which lead to talking about BEN drowned and we talked about how we both were part of an IRC chat that met each other on the Jadusable website and realized it was the same one

  21. @northernnarwhal Far from it. For a while it seems.

  22. @northernnarwhal the idea is that both sides work together, but people dont like working together, so they are always saying that what other does is not real chemistry

Monday, 18-Jan-16 06:11:38 UTC from web in context
  23. @northernnarwhal it is, usually the physical and computational chemists say it is a bad thing, but they need the experimental data to validate their calculations, so they should find something better to complain aboutn

Monday, 18-Jan-16 06:05:37 UTC from web in context
  24. @northernnarwhal chemistry is traditionally an empirical science, so its migration to the theoretical side is a lot slower than it was with the other sciences and you can still do lots of relevant stuff without relying only on super computers

Monday, 18-Jan-16 06:00:42 UTC from web in context
  25. @northernnarwhal Seriously, it was pretty bewildering

Monday, 18-Jan-16 05:57:53 UTC from web in context
  26. @northernnarwhal A thing i like a lot in chemistry is how it is still pretty experimental while the other sciences are mostly mathmatical. I mean, it is not like math is bad, but the empirical side is a lot more interesting to me

  27. @northernnarwhal yeah, i like it a lot, that is why I'm still on it even after fininshing a 5 years major, but I'm still a sucker for invertebrate zoology

Monday, 18-Jan-16 05:45:53 UTC from web in context
  28. @northernnarwhal i always liked studying biodiversity and those stuff and for the biggest time i wanted to go for invertebrate zoology, btu the i realized that biological sciences involve way more killing than i am willing to do, then in the prep. course i decided to go to chemistry

  30. @northernnarwhal i dont consume much of it, actually my main sounrce of entretainment, apart from gaming, was watching science documentaries, so i sort of never got much in touch with art. The art classes also didnt help much
