@policeman Not everyone is going to make something golden, but I don't think you give enough credit to the talented folks out there who were simply uninspired until MLP came along, or the many fans who didn't know they had it in them until they saw what everyone else was doing and gave it a shot. There's just so much diversity out there to dumb it down and presume self-indulgent motivations out of everyone. Give it a few months or even a year and you'll see much less of what you consider eye or ear-offending as the immediate hype dies down somewhat.
