@comradeconventrix Of course, there still is freedom in a system which tries to force a doctrine up your ... mind. However, if you have your own opinion, you most often can not express it in tests because there is a "correct" answer - and if you want to be sucessful, your course of action is learning exactly the position your teacher stands for. This is the opposite of what education in a democratic society should do - it should educate you to form your own reasonable decitions and deal with differences in a constrictive and accepting way. There are teachers who embrace this in their lectures and bent the rules for that - but the rules should embrace such virtues.
