@pony Last week I saw a doctor owing because my desire to end my own life had graduated from idle speculation to concrete planning and acquisition of the requisite artifacts. He has referred me to emergency psychiatric help, and was on the verge of forcibly admitting me to a mental hospital for my own protection. He has judged me "unfit to work" and provided me with a medical certification with which to present my employers stating this fact. Whilst they cannot legally dismiss me for being ill, they are immoral and unpleasant people, and will no doubt use my absence to find some other pretext to fire me. All weekend I've been grappling with the resultant question: My mental health, or my job? I still don't have an answer.
