@techdisk Have you ever told anyone online? Or searched on Google for something related to it? Then that information passed through your provider and Google or the chat provider (Microsoft/etc). Even if you just write it down locally on your PC, software like Skype may have send it to Microsoft. Hell, Windows may even be spying on you. The bottom line here is, even though you're being discreet, it's incredibly hard to completely hide things and even the slightest mistake will give your information to companies you probably don't want to let have it. Unless you keep it completely to yourself, then you should be fine, I guess (assuming the government doesn't inject nanobots into you or the likes, but lets not go down that path as there is absolutely no proof to support even the possibility).
