@crusader8 I think the biggest problem with expecting them to show journalistic integrity is that there isn't really all that much journalism for them to do. Their interface with hasbro consists entirely of "Getting press releases", and even if they had the pull to talk to the VA's, they're NDA'd to hell and back to prevent the disclosure of anything of value. They're admirably commited to staying the hell out of fandom drama, so they can't do that. All they can do is interview people with major fandom projects on occasion and attend cons. The fanstuff posts are necessary to fill the void bought on by the environment they work in.
