@ceruleanspark With some factions, like the space marines whose basic infantry unit is both resilent and has both good ranged and close combat abilities, the diffiulty is trivial. But play Tau, while the enemy is Orks, and you have a pretty much impossible mission. From what I remember from playing years ago, yes, C&C used to be like that at times. Hardest real game I've ever played. ("Real" separates it from the games that are specifically made to be hard with nothing else to offer)
