    I think if you're a Let's Player on YouTube and you're living off of ad revenue, you're living on borrowed time.

    Animators, Filmmakers, comedians, etc, they can all find work elsewhere if YouTube begins to fail them. Is it easy to find work? No. But it's out there.

    Meanwhile, Let's Players, who while today can probably pay rent if they're popular enough, are mangoesed once their ad revenue begins to come up short, because nobody is going to take "I am a very successful video game player" on a resume. Nobody.
