  1. @bobo It kind of sounds off key, but maybe my pitch hearing is off. Anyway, assuming that's the chord progression you've settled into, I'd just say have more fun with your melody composition. It sort of just sounds like you're haphazardly moving up a scale and that's not really fun to listen to. Move up and down, take advantage of your roots, arpeggiate a bit. Really just mess around with the notes in your chords until you find something that sticks, then build on top of that. As for rhythm, the best tip I can possibly give is that simple is best. Just tap out your common meter and from there accent your drums with your melody. From there, you can start to experiment more, but remember that you don't have to accent everything, otherwise they're hardly accents. Let the drums keep time and fill every now and then, then drive the song with the melody.
